FERPA Notice (Educational Records)

Wanderwing is not a school and does not act as a school district, educational institution, or educational agency.

However, if Wanderwing is used by a school, homeschool program, or educational organization, we recognize that certain information may qualify as “education records” under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

In those circumstances:

Wanderwing acts as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest, where applicable.

We process student information only for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not use student data for advertising.

We do not sell student data.

We do not build behavioral advertising profiles based on student activity.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect student information.

Educational institutions remain the data controller for FERPA-covered records and are responsible for determining parental rights, record access, and consent requirements.
